GST (Goods and Services Tax) registration is a process by which a taxpayer gets registered under GST. Once a business is successfully registered, a unique registration number is assigned to them known as the Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN).
What is the process for registering a GST Registration in India?
- Visit the GST Portal: Go to the GST official portal and click on ‘Register Now’.
- Fill the Application: Fill in the required details in Part A of the application form and submit.
- Receive OTP: You will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number and email ID.
- Fill Part B: After OTP verification, fill in Part B of the application form and submit the required documents.
- Receive ARN: After submission, you will receive an Application Reference Number (ARN) via email and SMS.
- Verification: The application and documents will be verified by the GST officer.
- GSTIN Issued: Upon successful verification, a GSTIN is issued.
